Logistics giant Christian Salvesen, is celebrating extending its partnership with leading weight management organisation Weight Watchers.  In addition to operating Weight Watchers’ 17,000 sq ft ambient warehouse (a contract which commenced in June 2005), Christian Salvesen, will now also be managing their home delivery transport operations. Delivering in excess of 750,000 parcels per annum of products direct to ‘Leaders’ homes through out the UK.

Leading European supply chain solutions provider, Wincanton, has acquired a major new customer, the well-known tyre manufacturer Goodyear Dunlop Tyres. Wincanton is set to operate a newly-built central warehouse for the company in the Slovak town of Senec and manage the distribution of tyres from this warehouse throughout Slovakia, to the Czech Republic and to Hungary.

Haier IT Europe, a division of one of the largest Chinese consumer electronics and IT companies, has chosen Kuehne + Nagel in the Netherlands as its strategic partner for the provision of end-to-end integrated supply chain services.

TNT Freight Management has secured a large-scale global contract with Electrolux Global Logistics. Having had a cooperation within the Nordic countries, TNT will now handle all air-freight for Electrolux, from Asia to Europe, within Asia and from Europe to the rest of the world.

The Disney Store Ltd has awarded TNT Logistics its UK distribution contract – and TNT is utilising vehicles assigned to another customer to benefit both of its clients.
The TNT liveried vehicles are used to deliver Nissan Renault spare parts to 450 dealerships throughout the UK at night, and then part of the fleet is used to deliver merchandise to the 59 Disney stores in the UK during the day.
