Two logistics centers, the Huangpu and New Airport international parks, are expected to be built in Guangzhou within the next four years, improving and extending current freight hubs.

 As part of its continued development and commitment to key markets in China Hamburg Süd is pleased to announce the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary Shipping Service Company in Shanghai. With effect from today Hamburg Süd (China) Ltd will be supervising all liner activities within Central and North China and attending directly the Shanghai market.

The Government is committed to nurturing Hong Kong's logistics industry, with more than 500 hectares of rural land in the New Territories earmarked for warehousing, Secretary for Housing, Planning & Lands Michael Suen says.
In a written reply to lawmakers in LegCo today, Mr Suen noted logistics is one of the pillars of the local economy, which accounts for 5.4% of the Gross Domestic Product and employs 198,400 people.

Maersk Logistics has been awarded a major supply chain consultancy contract by Abu Dhabi Polymers Co. Ltd (Borouge). Maersk Logistics will provide a six-month consultancy service on the best supply chain concept for marketing their products in key markets including China, Middle East and East Asia.  The project will focus on cost efficiency and shortest lead-times throughout the supply chain.
