1. YRC Worldwide Recognized By CIO Magazine as One of the CIO 100 Award Honorees

YRC Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: YRCW) announced that it has been named a recipient of the 2006 CIO 100 award. The annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).


2. Yangshan Port Phase I set 24-hour throughput record

On 19 March 2006, Yangshan Port Phase I handled a total of 15090 TEU of containers in 24 hours, setting a new record for similar operation. The brilliant result is largely attributable to continuous refined operation by Shendong Container Terminal Co, cooperation and coordination in tugboat and towing services with SIPG, rationalized berth service schedule and other management measures.

3. Yellow Roadway becomes YRC Worldwide

Yellow Roadway Corporation has changed its name to YRC Worldwide Inc, and from January 4th, its stock ticker changes to "YRCW" on NASDAQ.
The new name signals the continuation of company’s strategy. The company acquired Roadway Corp in December 2003, and USF Corp in May 2005 - adding nationwide scale in the next-day and regional markets. Meridian IQ capabilities have been expanded through recent China-based joint ventures.


4. YANGSHAN New port to rise from the sea and ease China’s logistics woes

Growing pains affect all things that develop quickly, and China is no exception. It’s all very well to churn out record amounts of clothes, furni-ture and toys for export, but It’s no good if those items can’t be shipped overseas due to overcrowded ports. To aid resolution of the problem, an innovative deep-water terminal off the coast of Shanghai is aiming to make the financial capital the biggest port city in North East Asia.


5. Yangshan Deep Water Port: Lack of Rail Facilities

There is no doubt that the Yangshan Deepwater Port offshore from Shanghai is an impressive feat of construction as is the 32 km bridge that supports a six-lane highway and connects the port to the mainland. Nothing new really, we all know Communist countries can do impressive feats of construction. But will it ever live up to its promises?


6. YaSheng Group Progresses With Development of Logistic Center in Victorville
(News/Projects)

The YaSheng Group (OTC: YHGG) progresses with the development of its logistic warehouse center in Victorville, California. Initial ground and aerial surveys of the site has been completed. The approval process is underway and the estimated time for the completion is first quarter of 2006 and construction to be completed by 2007. In addition, this project is under review by the Chinese National Economic Development Department to gain and provide support on various levels.
