2. October Railways successfully tests rail infrastructure at Ust-Luga.

October Railways has successfully tested the rail infrastructure for the ferry at the port of Ust-Luga. During the trials, the mechanisms for loading and unloading wagons by rail onto and from the middle deck of the ferry were tested at Ust-Luga. All the tests went off without a hitch.

3. Ozburn-Hessey Logistics Leases New Space in VA: DC to service Virginia Inland Port

Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) announced the addition of another multi-client facility to its over 21 million square foot network. This nearly half-a-million-square-foot facility is located in Winchester, VA with service from the Virginia Inland Port located in Front Royal.

It is planned to carry out IPO of the created “daughter” at the Russian stock exchange a year later after the creation of the company, and one and a half year later - abroad, most probably, as Vladimir Yakunin said, at London stock exchange.

Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) announced the acquisitions of Barthco International, Freightek, Inc. and Turbo Logistics. Barthco provides international freight forwarding and customs brokerage; Freightek develops, supports and markets international trade software for broker/forwarder operations and Turbo is a transportation broker and solutions provider.


7. OH Logistics Chosen by Steel City Tool Works as 3PL

Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OH Logistics) recently added Steel City Tool Works to its client list. The woodworking machinery manufacturer headquartered in Murfreesboro, TN, is operating in approximately 35,000 square feet in one of OH Logistics' La Vergne, TN, facilities.


8. Oakland Board of Port Commissioners Authorizes Port of Oakland’s First Solar Energy Agreement

Port Board says “yes” to a solar supply and license agreement with SunEdison
The Oakland Board of Port Commissioners (Port Board) authorized the Port’s executive director to enter into the Port’s first solar energy purchase agreement Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Port board meeting. Port Board President Kenneth S. Katzoff said, “This public/private partnership is an innovative approach to providing some of the Port’s energy needs and demonstrates our continuing commitment to environmentally responsible decisions.” In July 2004, the Port Board established a Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS). The RPS requires that by 2017, 20 percent of the electricity purchased for resale by the Port comes from renewable energy sources.


9. Oglebay Norton Company Signs Definitive Agreement To Sell Six of Its Nine Vessels

Announces Agreement With Wolverine Power for a Potential Base Load Power Plant at Michigan Quarry
Oglebay Norton Company
(OTC: OGBY.PK)  announced that it has signed a definitive purchase agreement to sell six of its nine marine vessels. The agreement includes long- term contracts for transporting limestone from the company's Michigan quarries. Closing of the sale is subject to regulatory clearance; therefore, terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. In addition, the company stated that it intends to sell its remaining three vessels and is in negotiations with a potential buyer.


10. OOCL Antwerp Named at Koyo Dockyard

OOCL is proud to announce that the third of eight 5,888-TEU S-Class vessels was named the m.v. OOCL Antwerp by the vessel’s Sponsor Dr. Rulin Fuong at the Koyo Dockyard Co. Ltd., of Imabari Shipbuilding Group, in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan on 12 May 2006.

11. Opening the oil transhipment terminal at Uyar

Opening the oil transhipment terminal at Uyar station will give Russian Railways over 15 billion roubles additional revenue from transporting oil.
Vadim Morozov, first Vice-President at Russian Railways, was visiting Krasnoyarsk Railways, a division of Russian Railways. “With the opening of the oil transhipment terminal at Uyar station on 1 April 2006, the volume of freight shipped on Krasnoyarsk Railways this year will increase by 14.4% and freight turnover by 2.5 billion tonnes-kilometres, 3.5% above the figure for 2005,” said Morozov.

With a pace even quick for the fast moving logistics industry, Ozburn-Hessey Logistics has expanded its market presence. OH Logistics has announced the addition of seven senior business development leaders, with the appointments going to some of the industry's most successful executives. This latest round of additions follows previous announcements of numerous management and senior management appointments since Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a New York-based private equity investor, acquired a majority stake last year.


13. Orders Continue to Soar for Boeing Business Jets

Boeing Business Jets announced it has won six new orders, increasing total program sales to 108 airplanes. "The continued sales momentum of the BBJ reflects the value customers place on the airplane's range capability, its industry-leading reliability and its spacious cabin," BBJ President Steven Hill said during a media briefing at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland. "The BBJ offers more than transportation; it offers the ability to travel with family, friends or business associates while working, eating, sleeping or entertaining in the air as you would at home or in the office."

14. Old Dominion Freight Line Expanding California Operations

Opens Service Center in San José, CA

Bloomington, California (April 24, 2006) - Bob Foote, Vice President of the Western Region for Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., announced the opening of a service center in San Jose, California. The 45 door facility is situated on a 3 1/2 acre site located at 390 Commercial Street. Manager of Sales & Service, Clay Sagun will direct a staff of 13.


15. Old Dominion Opens New Service Center in North Georgia

Thomasville, North Carolina (April 17, 2006) - Hugh Morris, Vice President of the Southern Region for Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., announced the early April opening of a new service center in N. Georgia. The 70 door facility will be located on a 10 acre site at 347 Henry D Robinson Boulevard in Pendergrass, Georgia.
