1. Construction Of Bombardier Aerospace’s Permanent Querétaro Facility To Begin This Fall

Structural aircraft components work conducted at temporary facility is ahead of schedule 
Bombardier Aerospace announced  that the construction of its permanent manufacturing site to be located in the Querétaro Aerospace Park Project will begin this fall. Manufacturing operations at this new site are scheduled to start during the second half of 2007.


2. CMA CGM upgrades its Far East / Mexico/ Central America service

CMA CGM  announced the reshuffling and upgrading of its Pacific East Coast Express 2 Service (PEX2), linking the Far East with Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean : From August 29th, CMA CGM will run its own PEX 2 weekly service independently, with 8 vessels of 3000/3500 TEU capacity.

3. China Merchants Container Services signed new logistics services contract

Recently, China Merchants Container Services Limited and Hong Kong Yi Tong Container Line Limited signed an agreement about provision of logistics services by CMCS.


4. Cargo Connection Logistics Reports Results for 1H

Revenues for Six Month Period Increased 14 Percent While Second Quarter Sales Increased by 22 Percent -- Revenues for June Set Company Record
Cargo Connection Logistics Holding, Inc. (OTCBB: CRGO) (BERLIN: CD6) (FRANKFURT: 217026)  announced improved financial results for the second quarter and the first six months of 2006. Revenues for the six months ended June 30, 2006 were approximately $7,700,000 compared with approximately $6,760,000 for the six months ended June 30, 2005. This represents a 14 percent increase over the previous year.

5. China Merchants Maritime & Logistics has secured another new client

Sai Cheng to use Shenzhen Qianhaiwan Logistics Park
Following a series of negotiations, Sai Cheng Logistics International Co., Ltd, a venture between China Post and Australia Post engaged in logistics, signed a contract with China Merchants Maritime & Logistics Company about leasing a warehouse of 5000 square meters in Qianhaiwan Logistics Park for general commodity logistics.


6. China Shipping Put Emphasis on the Fight against Typhoon

Recently China Shipping held a meeting to stengthen the work for the fight against typhoon.
President Li Shaode said that vessel companies of China Shipping must learn from  the lessons of "Yong An No.4 Vessel"  whose mainframe was broken down during  No.6 typhoon. He instructed safety management division of vessel companies to take preventive measures in advance to ensure the security of voyages.


7. CKYH and GPA Announce “Shanghai/Savannah Express”

Doug J. Marchand, Executive Director of the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), and the CKYH Alliance (Cosco, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping) announced the addition of the “Shanghai/Savannah Express,” a new service between Asia and Savannah.


8. Christian Streiff confirmed as Airbus President and Chief Executive Officer

The Airbus Shareholder Committee has confirmed Christian Streiff as Airbus President and Chief Executive Officer. This follows his nomination to the position on 2nd July 2006. The Airbus Shareholder Committee comprises representatives of the Airbus shareholders, EADS and BAE Systems.


9. Con-way and General Motors to Enter Discussions Regarding Purchase of Vector SCM

 Con-way Inc. disclosed that it received notice from General Motors Corporation of its intent to exercise its call right and enter into negotiations to purchase Vector SCM, LLC, the joint venture formed by Menlo Worldwide, LLC, Con-way’s global contract logistics subsidiary, and GM in December 2000 to deliver lead logistics provider services for GM’s global supply chain.

10. China Will Increase Investments in China - RF Roads

Feng Zhenglin, the Vice-Minister of China's Ministry of Communications, has urged states belonging to the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO) to increase investment in highway infrastructure and to speed up construction of three major highways linking China with Russia, Central Asia and Europe.

12. Container Transport in Domestic Trade developed well at Ningbo Port Group

This year container transport in domestic trade developed quickly at Ningbo Port Group. According to relevant statistics, container throughput in domestic trade reached 160 thousand TEUs from January to May in this year at Ningbo Port Group. 70% growth rate was higher than that of foreign container trade.

14. Con-way Closes Domestic Air Forwarding Operation

Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) announced today that it has discontinued the operations of its domestic air freight forwarding subsidiary Con-way Forwarding.
The decision to close the unit was made following a detailed review of the subsidiary’s competitive position and its prospects in relation to the corporation’s long-term strategies, noted Douglas W. Stotlar, Con-way president and CEO.


15. Christian Salvesen extends Weight Watchers service

Christian Salvesen is celebrating extending its partnership with leading weight management organisation - Weight Watchers.  In addition to operating Weight Watchers’ 17,000 sq ft ambient warehouse (a contract which commenced in June 2005), Christian Salvesen, will now also be managing their home delivery transport operations, delivering in excess of 750,000 parcels per annum of products direct to Leaders homes throughout the UK. With over 6500 meetings taking place every day at various times, these materials are designed to aid the successful weight loss of Weight Watchers members and therefore a reliable delivery service is essential.
