TNT N.V. announced the acquisition of ARC India Limited which operates under the trade name Speedage Express Cargo Services, one of the leading road express companies in India.This acquisition is a key component of TNT's Focus on Networks strategy as announced in December 2005. Acquiring Speedage is in line with TNT’s strategic objective to become the leading provider of express deliveries in the emerging markets in Asia, specifically India. Combining Speedage’s strong domestic road network with TNT’s international and domestic networks will form a powerful platform for further expansion in the fast growing Indian express market.
TNT Freight Management has secured a large-scale global contract with Electrolux Global Logistics. Having had a cooperation within the Nordic countries, TNT will now handle all air-freight for Electrolux, from Asia to Europe, within Asia and from Europe to the rest of the world.
In reaction to press coverage, TNT confirms the expected net proceeds of the announced sale of its logistics activities to lie between € 1.2 billion and € 1.3 billion at completion. A further description on the basis of what has been stated and explained on announcement is summarised below:

TNT Logistics North America, a leading provider of supply chain services to the automotive industry, has renewed its largest contract to provide logistics services to Ford Motor Company’s F-series truck manufacturing plant in Kansas City. Since 2002, TNT has provided for the delivery and sequencing of parts going into this assembly plant. The contract extension renews the TNT/Ford relationship at this operation until 2009.
