1. ProLogis European Properties Plans to Float on Euronext Amsterdam

ProLogis announced that ProLogis European Properties (PEPR), a real estate investment fund that owns a portfolio of distribution facilities in Europe and is externally managed by a subsidiary of ProLogis, is planning an Initial Public Offering of ordinary units by certain selling unitholders on Euronext Amsterdam N.V.'s Eurolist by Euronext.


2. Port Of Tianjin Capacity to Rise

Chineese Port of Tianjin port will see its cargo handling capacity soar by 1.7 million TEU in early 2007 when a new terminal, the Tianjin Port Alliance International Container Terminal, is expected to start operations.

3. Port of Felixstowe Takes Delivery of Additional Yard Cranes
(News/Sea)

The Port of Felixstowe has welcomed the arrival of nine rubber-tyred gantry cranes from Zhenhua Port Machinery Company (ZPMC) of Shanghai. The cranes have been transported – fully erected – by sea from China, a journey that has taken nine weeks. Following full commissioning tests, it is anticipated that the cranes will be fully operational within a short time.

4. ProLogis Park Stateline Fully Leased Following Transactions With Kyocera and Franklin Sports

ProLogis announced that it has leased 600,000 square feet of industrial space to two customers at a new park it operates in Memphis, Tennessee. Kyocera Mita America, a leading document imaging company, has leased 300,000 square feet at ProLogis Park Stateline, an 80-acre park located about two miles southeast of Memphis International Airport. The facility will become the hub of Kyocera's new national product distribution network, and will eventually service approximately 70 percent of the United States.

Strong Operating Property Fundamentals, Development Gains and Growth in Property Fund Business Support 20% Increase in FFO per Share; Company Increases Guidance for 2006 FFO and Earnings per Share
ProLogis reported funds from operations as defined by ProLogis (FFO) of $0.90 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2006, a 20% increase over adjusted FFO of $0.75 in the second quarter of 2005. After relocation charges and recognition of cumulative translation losses and impairment charges related to the sale of its temperature-controlled business, FFO for the second quarter of 2005 was $0.67 per share. Net earnings per diluted share were $0.66 for the second quarter of 2006, compared with $0.40 for the same period in 2005.


6. ProLogis Acquires Industrial Portfolio in Mexico for $238 Million

- Company Now One of Mexico's Largest Providers of Light Manufacturing and Distribution Space

ProLogis  announced that it has acquired more than 3.5 million square feet of high-quality industrial space and land in Mexico in a transaction valued at approximately $238 million in cash and assumed debt.
The acquisition bolsters ProLogis' industrial platform in Mexico by more than 40 percent and makes the company one of the country's largest providers of light manufacturing and distribution facilities.

7. ProLogis Leases More Than 641,000 Square Feet of Space at New Industrial Park in Southern Poland
(News/Logistics)

 ProLogis  announced  that it has leased more than 641,000 square feet (59,600 square meters) of distribution space at a new industrial park it is developing in Poland. Three companies have signed new agreements for space at ProLogis Park Chorzow, located in the city of Chorzow, northwest of Katowice. The first phase of construction at the park is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2006, and is now more than 70 percent pre-leased. At full build-out, the park will contain seven buildings totaling 1.6 million square feet (146,000 square meters).

8. PZL-104MA Wilga Marks its Presence in American Market

Manufactured in Poland, by EADS PZL, the PZL-104MA WILGA made its first public appearance at the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh on July 24th to 30th, 2006. The new aircraft generated an incredible interest and enthusiasm among EAA visitors from around the world. These visitors used terms such as "amazing" and "cool" to describe the aircraft.


9. Port, ITS and “K” Line Commit to ‘Green Policy'

Ceremony Affirms Combined Effort for Trade and Environmental Leadership
Representatives of the Port of Long Beach , shipping line Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line) and container terminal operator International Transportation Service Inc. signed an agreement Monday, July 31, reaffirming their commitment to work together to further international trade and environmental stewardship.


10. Port of Vancouver Ahead of Schedule on Extended Gates Program
(News/Sea)

The Vancouver Port Authority (VPA) and terminal operators are extending hours of operations at container terminals and off-dock facilities in the Port of Vancouver by an additional 20 per cent. The ports three container terminals and five key independent off-dock facilities will add a Tuesday evening gate in a pilot program beginning July 4, 2006. In addition to Tuesday evenings, port terminals currently operate extended gates at least one other evening each week.

11. Ports of Cardiff and Sewnsea poised to attrect cruise business

12. Pacer International Selected for Listing on the New NASDAQ - Global Select Market
(News/Logistics)

Pacer International, Inc. (Nasdaq:PACR), the North America logistics and transportation provider, announced today that its stock will be listed on the new NASDAQ Global Select Market, effective July 3.

13. Porsche broadens cooperation with Deutsche Bahn
(News/Logistics)

The Company, which already transports selected vehicles of its 911, Boxster/Cayman and Cayenne model series for key overseas markets by rail, is now also moving component deliveries to its Finnish production partner Valmet Automotive from road to rail. On June 26th, 2006 the first train has been loaded at the container terminal in Kornwestheim with the newly developed mega trailers before setting out for Rostock. The trailers mainly contain engines, which will be built into Porsche's Boxster and Cayman models at Valmet Automotive.


14. Port of Rotterdam: Heavy fuel oil for mega ships

Ships prefer to bunker in Rotterdam, the “cut price” oil pump of the world. Verenigde Tankrederijen, market leaders when it comes to carrying bunker oil on inland waterways, supply fuel oil to large container ships, using very large inland tankers.  With a length of 135 metres and a carrying capacity of nearly 10,000 tonnes, the Vlissingen, flagship of Verenigde Tankrederijen, or VT, is bigger than many ocean-going ships.

15. Port Of London: Welcome for riverside energy plant

A strong welcome for the Government announcement on the new energy from waste facility has come from the Port of London Authority. Energy Minister Malcolm Wicks announced that he has granted consent to Cory Environmental to build an energy from waste facility on the side of the Thames at Belvedere in Bexley. This will be London's first river-served energy from waste facility. This is designed to process up to 585,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste, which would otherwise have gone to landfill.
