Lease is Part of 700,000-Square-Foot Transaction at ProLogis Park Jersey Village Corporate Center ProLogis a leading global provider of distribution facilities and services, announced today that it is has leased a new, 297,000-square-foot industrial building it is developing in northwest Houston to Goodman Manufacturing Company, L.P.
The lease for the new building is part of a combined 700,000-square-foot transaction at ProLogis Park Jersey Village Corporate Center. Goodman, one of the nation's leading producers of heating and air conditioning equipment, has also renewed an existing lease for 403,000 square feet at the park. The new building is expected to be completed in the first half of 2006.
"We're pleased to be significantly extending our relationship with Goodman Manufacturing through this new agreement," said Ross Matthews, vice president and Houston market officer for ProLogis. "We believe this expansion underscores the value we have delivered to Goodman as a provider of premium industrial distribution space."
ProLogis Park Jersey Village Corporate Center functions as the central distribution point for Goodman in North America. Goodman also leases more than 150,000 square feet of space at other ProLogis facilities in Austin and San Antonio, Texas; Reno, Nev.; Miami and Tampa, Fla.; and Hayward, Calif.
The park is strategically located at the intersection of Beltway 8 and U.S. 290 (the Northwest Freeway), approximately 14 miles from Houston's central business district. At full build-out, the park will comprise more than 1.2 million square feet of industrial space.
Goodman Manufacturing produces a complete line of residential and commercial air conditioning and heating equipment and markets its products through a worldwide network of independent distributors and installers. The privately-held company is headquartered in Houston. (Source: Prologis)
