Vietnam's Largest Shipyard, Containerships Being Built |

Viet Nam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) is reported to have invested almost VND600 billion (US$37.71 million) to build Vietnam's largest shipyard that will be located in Nhan Trach district in southern Dong Nai province, the country's state media reported.
The facility will offer shipbuilding and repair services for containerhsips initially, and later will be capable of manufacturing ship accessories, the Vietnam Agency reported. The Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Company in the northern port city of Hai Phong, meanwhile, is said to be building Vietnam's largest container vessel, a 700-TEU newbuild. The ship is part of a EUR129 million (US$154.05 million) deal to construct ten 700-TEU vessels for MPC of Germany.
