Hanjin Shipping to Launch Busan-Indonesia Service |

Hanjin Shipping will launch a new Busan-Indonesia service called KIS (Korea-Indonesia Service), replacing the existing RTA (Incheon – Busan - Indonesia) service. KIS will charter space of Korea Marine Transport to provide weekly service. The port rotation is: Busan – Hong Kong – Singapore – Jakarta – Surabaya – Hong Kong – Busan.
KIS' first operation is scheduled on March 19, starting from KMTC Busan 0604W departing Busan. The RTA service will terminate on April 7 upon calling at Incheon, the press-servgice of Hanjin Shipping reported.
The new Busan-Indonesia service is expected to enable Hanjin Shipping to run a more reliable service schedule and handle a larger volume of eastbound trans-Pacific transshipment cargo. This will lead to Hanjin's improved sales competency and reduced operating costs.
