Container Transport in Domestic Trade developed well at Ningbo Port Group |

This year container transport in domestic trade developed quickly at Ningbo Port Group. According to relevant statistics, container throughput in domestic trade reached 160 thousand TEUs from January to May in this year at Ningbo Port Group. 70% growth rate was higher than that of foreign container trade.
In recent years, material transport in domestic trade increased fast in Chinese Mainland. Ningbo Port Group grasped this opportunity and actively developed container transport in domestic trade. Enlargement of domestic container transport is one of important Ningbo Port measures to increase container throughput. In this year, Ningbo Port Group united shipping companies to expand range of container transport and increase density of sailing lines. Presently, Ningbo Port Group has 15 sailing lines for domestic container trade, covering Yingkou, Yantai, Qingdao in North and Huangpu, Guangzhou in South. Comparing to last year, monthly voyage increased 20 to 120. At the same time, Ningbo Port Group made great effort to expand business coverage and increase service quality in hinterland market. In this year, Ningbo Port continued to do research on cargo resources in circumjacent area; according to research results, Ningbo Port did promotion activities about domestic container transport in Xiaoshan and Shenyang. In this year, Zhenhai Harbour Area opened a 10-thousand-tonnage berth especially for domestic container trade. Simultaneously, Zhenhai Harbour Area were searching for measures to enlarge stacking field and improve transiting capacity£»In order to meet shipping companies' demands, the company delivered new services i.e. conserving related documents, extending stacking time and preparing for coming containers.
