During January of 2006, the ports and terminals under CMHI continued their fine run with impressive results. Zhangzhou China Merchants Port ("ZCMP") posted a 48% year-on-year growth in throughput and a 5.29% year-on-year growth in container throughput.

In addition, ZCMP stevedored some 10,000 tons of new source of commodities. Furthermore, Chiwan Container Terminal ("CCT") and Mawan Port together reported a flying start for the new year with a container throughput of 400,672 TEU in January of 2006.
