The Boeing Company confirmed a previously unidentified Air Sahara order for 10 Next-Generation 737-800 airplanes. Air Sahara placed the order in the first quarter of 2006 and was listed in the unidentified category on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries web site. Valued at more than $700 million at list prices, deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid 2009.

The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] named Nagpur city, located in the State of Maharashtra in central India, as the location for its planned regional maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility. "We believe that Nagpur will be an excellent location for the Boeing MRO facility because of the tremendous investment being made in the area by both government and private companies," said Dinesh Keskar, vice president of Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "Boeing is committed to helping strengthen India's air transport infrastructure by investing up to $100 million in this MRO facility."

Contract covers Airbus A320-200 fleet Ural Airlines, the sixth largest carrier in Russia, and Lufthansa Technik, the leading provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of airplanes, components and engines, signed a technical support agreement for the new Airbus A320-200 fleet. Airline Investing $100 Million In Cargo Operation To Meet Growing Demand Alaska Airlines introduced a Boeing 737-400 freighter to its cargo fleet, the first of five larger cargo aircraft the airline will put into service by the end of 2007. The all-cargo aircraft provides 50 percent more cargo capacity and more advanced flight guidance capabilities than the 737-200 it replaces.
